My Remuxing Guide (beta)
My Remuxing Guide (beta)
Courtesy of 2CL Note: I’ve done this successfully with using a ReJig m2v but have not tested on other m2vs done with CCE or TMPGenc. I hope this works for those too but if it doesn’t, somebody please let me know. With that said, let’s start. ________________________________________________________ Checking for Audio/Subtitle Delays 1. Open up one of your VOBs, to be muxed with a m2v, with VobEdit. ________________________________________________________ 2. Go topside and go to Edit / “Get Video/Audio delay”. ________________________________________________________ 3. You’ll get a pop-up message with your delay information.
________________________________________________________ 4. Remuxing with Zero Delays Open the IFO of the VOBs, that you will be remuxing, with IfoEdit. ________________________________________________________ 5. Go topside and click on VOB Extras / Remux .m2v or click on "VOB Extras" button. You should have your “Re-Mux” option checked by default and “Strip Stream’s” unchecked. Leave other default checkboxes as is for now. ________________________________________________________ 6. Set paths for your destination directory and .m2v stream. When done, uncheck “AutoCopy Menu-Files to destination” and click OK to start remuxing process. ________________________________________________________ 7. Uncheck “AutoCopy Menu-Files to destination” and click OK to start remuxing process. ________________________________________________________ 8. When done, drag/cut your new remuxed files over into your original folder and replace the old files. ________________________________________________________ 9. Click “Get VTS Sectors” button to correct IFO. ________________________________________________________ 10. Play to test. You shouldn’t have no out of sync audio and video. ________________________________________________________ That’s it 11. Remuxing with Delays In this procedure, we will be using VobEdit for remuxing instead of IfoEdit. The only drawback is that VobEdit requires you to use the single VOB in which you had previously demux it’s m2v stream. If your original Titleset had more than one VOB, we need to have them joined into one single VOB for remuxing to be successful with VobEdit. DVD Decrypter or vStrip have the option rip Titleset VOBs to one single VOB. If by chance you have your VOBs not joined, you have the option to rerip your VOBs again to one VOB or you can merge them all using a free tool , available for download here at Doom9, called FileMerger in the VOB Tools sections. When you have your single Titleset VOB, proceed on. Now, open this single VOB with VobEdit. ________________________________________________________ 12. Go topside and click on Edit / Remux m2v. ________________________________________________________ 13. Browse to your m2v file ________________________________________________________ 14. Browse to a destination directory for your remuxed files to go to and press OK to start remuxing process. ________________________________________________________ 15. When done, you should have new VOB files like VTS_*_001.VOB VTS_*_002.VOB VTS_*_003.VOB … Rename them back to VTS_*_01.VOB VTS_*_02.VOB VTS_*_03.VOB … ________________________________________________________ 16. Just in case, here’s a good time to check you VOBs for audio and video sync. You should have no out-of-sync VOBs. I guess VOBedit does a better job at remuxing with delayed streams. Also, if you are hard pressed for disk space, it’s safe to delete your single VOB and m2v. ________________________________________________________ 17. With renaming done, drag/cut your new remuxed files over to your original folder and replace the old files. ________________________________________________________ 18. Your IFO’s VTS_TMAPTI (time table) does not match what you have in your new VOBs now so we must correct that. So, open your IFO with IfoEdit. ________________________________________________________ 19. Click on VOB Extras buttons. ________________________________________________________ 20. With default checkboxes checked, the only things you need to do it check “Strip Stream’s” and browse to your destination directory. Click OK. ________________________________________________________ 21. In your Stream List window, click on “Check all” button and then “Strip it” button to continue. ________________________________________________________ 22. When done, drag your new files over into original folder. ________________________________________________________ 23. Click “Get VTS Sectors” button to correct IFO. ________________________________________________________ 24. Play to test. ________________________________________________________ That’s it. Remuxing Menus If you want to remux your menu m2v back into your menu VOB, it’s pretty easy. Just follow steps 11 to 17 above and here are the other steps to follow. ________________________________________________________ 18. Open up your IFO in question and click on “Menu Extras” button. ________________________________________________________ 19. The only thing you need to do is enter a destination directory path. Press OK ________________________________________________________ 20. In your Stream list, keep all if streams are present. ________________________________________________________ 21. Click “Strip it” button. ________________________________________________________ 22. Replace your old menu VOB with your new one. ________________________________________________________ 23. Click on “Get VTS Sectors” button. ________________________________________________________ 24. That should be it. Play to test. ________________________________________________________
