Does anyone know something about 'TDSC' ?
I couldn't find any player/decoder which are capable of handling it.. a sample: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1gdjCz2F or https://www.sendspace.com/file/99a7te Last edited by wanezhiling; 3rd January 2015 at 14:37. |

I believe it's a codec distributed with Camtasia Studio or some other programs made by the company behind Camtasia Studio, Techsmith ... their page is here: http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html
Once you install it, I believe the codec (well, the decoding part of the codec) is made available to all programs in your computer. Virtualdub should be able to open AVI files with that codec and you could probably open the asf file in avisynth using DirectShowSource or something similar. |

Indeed, it's the Camtasia Screen Capture Codec. You can download the free TDSC codec from http://www.techsmith.com/download.html and it will be available systemwide.

TDSC does not apply to Camtasia codec, their fourCC is TSCC for Techsmith Screen Capture Codec.
If this file is an ASF, this TDSC codec must be a H.263 variant, try to change the fourCC for h263 or xvid and see if you can play the video... |

Woah. I actually consulted with Techsmith on this like a billion years ago. It was my recommendation that they make an interoperable codec out of their proprietary format so PowerPoint, Director, etcetera could use it in .mov or .avi files...
