Minimum Width?

The lowest I will usually go is 480x368 for full screen and 512x288 for widescreen. Are these too low? Does it sacrifice to much quality? What is the minimum widths for full and wide screen you would go with?

Well, those numbers sound quite reasonable to me. I even go as low as 352x288 (PAL VCD res) for 4:3 stuff. But that is for watching things on a TV where the scaling factors are slightly different from when watching on a computer monitor. If possible, try to match your video resolution to a multiple of the screen resolution, i.e. if you use 1024x768 as screen resolution then use 512xyyy as video resolution. But that also depends on your computer, a GPU that scales good won't need any restrictions whereas a slow GPU/CPU might want exact scaling or produce crap.

The minimum for me is 720* (for 3x CD encodes) and the maximum is 1024* (for 1x DVD-R encodes) !!!

But that doesn't mean anything...

Try it out your self, and see what you like most !!!

Bye
