High CPU activity when mpg is chosen in Windows Explorer
Finally I figured out something that was making me completely nuts. Everytime I would right or left click on a mpg in Windows Explorer my cpu would shoot up to 100% for 30 to 45 seconds(XP 3000 equivalent no less). I traced it to the ligos mpeg2 filters installed by ProCoder and sometimes by other someware. Since I had other mpeg2 filters from my dvd player software, I Used DXMAN to remove the ligos playback filters and all is well again.
Key words: High CPU activity usage, mpg, mpeg, mpeg2 filters, explorer, ligos, Procoder |
