convert .VOBs to .ISOs
I have a DVD sitting on the hard drive in File mode (.VOBs, .BUPs, and .IFOs). Is there a way to convert it to .ISO without burning to disc, then re-ripping the disc with DVD Decrypter in ISO Read mode?
The reason I ask is because when I make a backup, I want to preview the finished disc using TheaterTek. The only way (that I know of) to do that is to load an .ISO of the movie into a virtual drive, then watch from the virtual drive with TheaterTek. Granted, I am currently able to preview the finished disc (in file mode) with Media Player Classic, but I've noticed discrepancies in the quality of the video when playing it with Media Player Classic vs. TheaterTek. And since TheaterTek is the way that I'm going to watch the final disc anyway, it would be nice to preview it that way as well. My preferred process: DVD Decrypter-->DVD ReMake Pro-->DVD Rebuilder w/CCE-->preview-->burn

Thanks for the quick reply, killingspree! I'd heard of ImgTool, but thought it was mainly a burning application. And since I already use Nero Express for burning, I never gave ImgTool a closer look. I didn't know it could create .ISOs from .VOBs.
I'll download ImgTool Classic 0.91.4 tonight and give it a try.

Thanks for the suggestion about PowerDVD, heideki. I had heard that PowerDVD could open DVD files from the hard drive, but I don't have that program installed on my HTPC.
ImgTools worked like a champ. It took 15-18 minutes (ran it on a few titles) to convert the DVD files to ISOs and they played back fine when mounted with Alcohol 120% virtual drives.
