besweet gui v0.6b63 gives run-time error 5
Hi all,
I'm running a fresh install of windows me with the current patches installed. I've tried installing the latest msvbvm50.dll and msvbvm60.dll as suggested in the besweet FAQ but am still getting: run-time error '5': Invalid procedure call or argument and then: besweetgui0 has caused and error in <unknown>. I know this has got to be because of a missing dll someplace but which one? This is the stable version of besweet gui from dspguru's homepage. Thanks! Dave |

a little more info
I have found that the previous beta of besweetgui works fine.
The version is 06.b61 and is available here: http://besweet.notrace.dk/BeSweetGUI0.6b61.zip Oggmachine v0.5 and v0.6 also work well. besweetgui v06.63b continues to crash though. Dave |

As soon as I run BeSweetGUI I get the error message (The window is not completely visible (most of the widgets are not loaded)). I had no problems with the previous build! My System: P3 667; Win2000 SP3; 256 MB SDRam; VBruntime installed

Try 0.6 b64 If it Doesn't Work Then Try Downloading MSVBVM50.DLL from http://www.milori.com/developer/runtimes/ and Overwrite the Current MSVBVM50.DLL. (Save it Just in Case...) Danni. |

WinXPHome SP1
Both the 0.6b63 and 0.6b64 open fine. I can't test anything out yet because I have to study for an exam. Only thing I don't like is 0.6b64 is missing the profiles

I renamed DD-Profiles.ini and the GUI created a new one but again the error message apeared. What do you mean with "DD-Profiles.ini Folder"? I think you mean "DD-Profiles.ini File", donīt you? Regards, The Link

Yes, I Meant the .ini File. I Forgot I Use an .ini File and Wrote 'Profiles Folder' and When I Edited the Message I Left the 'Folder' by Mistake. I'll Try to Remember What I Changed that Can Cause the Crash. Danni. |

0.6b64 crashes also
I tried 0.6b64 as well and it crashes the same way also.
Still under Windows Me. The crash happens immediately upon launching the executable. I've tried it with an without the DD-Profiles.ini and also have the recent MSVBMV50.dll from the mentioned site. It manages to display the grey box and the 2 folder buttons and 1 disk button that would normally appear in the upper left corner of the gui. Except that they are offset to the right. I can take a screenshot and attach it if you think it would help. Dave |
