Just wanted to say thanks for a great tool. I've used it on several films, and it works very well. The preview function is a great addition to the program, as before I had to restore and try again at a different % on the slider for the menu picture. :-)

Hey jean, I notice that sometimes, for some reason, animated menus cells alternate sharp and slightly blurred frames.
While imperceptible in sequence, this is quite noticeable when those frames are isolated due to the fuzzy writing. I can't catch this in MenuShrink™ tiny preview window though, and have to go the empirical way to get the goodies. Is there a way to maximize that window that I haven't found, or can you add this? It would be suuuper

![]() You can resize the preview window at will (and menushrink remembers the size from run to run). Give it a shot! MenuSHrink only uses an I-frame for the menu, but I've seen cases (probably with interlaced material) where the still menu seemed to "oscillate" between two frames on my standalone. I"m not sure that's what you mean though... jeanl

Hey, me again
(woopie doo!) I was trying to shrink Carnival Of Souls (R1 criterion) menu. It has a lot of text stills in it (essays, interviews verbatim, etc.) and when accessing those in the shrinked menu, Media Player Classic and DVD Tray Player hang. They're the kind of still with 3 buttons (backward, index and forward) and as soon as I select one of those buttons the player freeze. I'm too lazy to test on a standalone, but obviously something is not kosher. I finally shrinked the menu with VobBlanker by manually selecting the large cell only, witch give me the same final size result, but it's tedious ![]() Quote:

, as 2.07 came after 2.04!Anyway, 2.08 will fix that, I just need to go back and take a look at what I changed in the VOBU_SRI and figure out exactly what it is that mediaplayerclassic does not like! I'll keep you posted. Jeanl

MenuShrink 2.08
People,
I've put MenuShrink 2.08 in the Betas directory, http://jean.laroche.free.fr/MenuShrink/Betas/ . It fixes the VOBU_SRI bug that caused mediaplayerclassic to hang, and it also fixes a small problem that sometimes prevented MenuShrink from restoring a backup. Still a beta, so use with relative caution (although there isn't that much different from 2.0, really!). jeanl
