DTS->6 wavs or 5.1 wav

I have an audio CD DTS. I rip a audio track with foobar2000 and I obtain a wav-dts file and then transform this file into a DTS with BeSplit v 0.9b7. I'm wondering, how can I split this file into 6 mono waves or into a 5.1 wave file???

How can I do that conversion???? I understand that I have to use azidts...how??? Please help. Sorry about bad english. Thanks in advance!

i can give you these line.
"C:/azidts.exe" -core( -input "e:\01.dts" -output ""e:\01-" -6ch -logfilea "E:/BeSweet.log" ) THIS IS FOR 6 MONO WAV
"C:\azidts.exe" -core( -input "e:\01.dts" -output "e:/01.wav" -6chwav -logfilea "E:\BeSweet.log" ) THIS IS FOR 5.1 WAV

CreateFilter: Failed to create filter! hr=0x80040154

DShowErr: FAILED(hr=0x80040154) in CreateFilter(CLSID_DTSSource, &pReader)

3. InterVideo WinDVD Platinum...

1.I don't have DTSSource.ax...what's this???,
2.BeSwweet.dll v1.5b29 - I use
3. I use POWER DVD 6 deluxe, why am I obligate to use InterVideo WinDVD Platinum???? what for???

Yes, you must have winDVD Platinum version to use it correctly. And not the trial version...

azidts uses BeSweet.dll to transcode the files but this application must have other things to work perfectly, as you noticed.

It is very simple to install a directshow filter. Have to put it into system 32 and then give command regsvr32 DTSac3Source.ax, simple as that but I didn't know. Thanks for everything pals.Obvious, now it works.

Later edit: I've discovered a problem: My dts file has 03:07 and then transform it with azidts into a 6ch wav wich has 02:51, so play faster!
azidts.exe -core( -input 03.dts -output 03.wav -6chwav -logfilea "E:/BeSweet.log" )
what happened? I use besweet.dll special.

[00:00:00:000] +------- BeSweet -----
[00:00:00:000] | Input : 03.dts
[00:00:00:000] | Output: 03.wav
[00:00:00:000] | Floating-Point Process: No
[00:00:00:000] | Source Sample-Rate: 48.0KHz
[00:00:00:000] +---------------------
[00:02:51:925] Conversion Completed !
[00:02:51:925] Actual Avg. Bitrate : 4608kbps
[00:02:43:000] <-- Transcoding Duration

Logging ends : 03/15/05 , 02:23:28.

Well, after dts->6ch wav conversion the time lenght of the file decrease with aprox 10 %.I've tried many times the same operation, the rezult is the same. The lenght of resulting 6ch wav file has 90% of the dts file.
If exist some solution, please help!

Foobar has an dts decoder component, isn't it suitable for doing dts -> 5.1 wav?

Plus you can go with plain 'dtsdec -o wavall > yada.wav', although wav will be huge (32bit 6ch) with header that'll prolly confuse anything you might want to feed it into.
Though it's possible to do s/th like 'dtsdec | sox | encoder' directly, i think.

Huh?

No you don't need azidts!
You just missed it - but you were so close.
Why didn't you use BeSplit to separate the DTS WAV in the first place?

Here are the command line:

Code:
BeSplit -core( -input "DTS-WAV-source.wav" -output "destianation-file" -type wav -demux )
or
Code:
BeSplit -core( -input "DTS-WAV-source.wav" -output "destination-file" -type dtswav -demux )
Either one should do the trick.
You'll end up with one WAV for each channel.

@ak
And it even supports the wavs delievered from dtsdec - i tried it!

Then something went wrong with your decoding of the DTS track!
foo_dts.dll present?

Perhaps you put in the "Convert 5.1 to stereo" Filter in the DSP tab in foobar2000?
Or else your track is not 5.1/6.1/7.1

Use the following method if it is a DTS-WAV else try -type dts:

Code:
besplit -core( -input "DTS-WAV-source.wav" -output "destianation-file.DTS" -type dtswav -fix)

dtsdec -o wavall destination-file.DTS > multichannel.wav

besplit -core( -input "multichannel.wav" -output "destianation-file" -type wav -demux )
Does it work?

Second you may try and have a look in foobar's DSP section to see if there's the "convert 5.1 to stereo" filter rpesent. If so remove it.
Then demux foobar's output with besplit or use BeSweet with BeSweetGUI to demux to 6 mono WAVs.

or use foobar..
to decode DTS (grab plugin from saunalahti) to multichannel WAV. Then split this into 6 mono WAVs.

1. Open .dts in foobar2000
In the DSP tab remove all filters!!
click "save all"
Right click on the .dts file -> convert -> select pcm 32Bit float
click "ok"
wait until the conversion process finishes. You'll get a 6 channel wav (take a coffee
break :-))

2 use BeSweet to separate into 6 mono wavs (GUI or command line).
Code:
BeSweet.exe -core( -input "multichannel-wav.wav" -output "multichannel-wav-new-" -6ch -logfile "BeSweet.log" )

I didn't put "Convert 5.1 to stereo" Filter in the DSP tab in foobar2000 and the track is 5.1 (audio CD DTS - [DTS]-Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon...

Where I suppose to go for download the plugin??
Anyway, I'm wondering
Quote:
dtsdec -o wavall destination-file.DTS > multichannel.wav
what's dtsdec? A besplit parameter it is not.....I apreciate very much your effort but seems like I'm a little idiot
So this command make the 5.1 wav I want to optain. Once again, with azidts, the optained 5.1 wav file has less seconds....work faulty.
Well, I am more confuzed.

All I wanna know is how can transform the dts audio track from CD into 5.1 wav file wich has same lenght(in seconds)?
Thanks again.

if you don't have foo_dts.dll then foobar2000 is unable to decode DTS!

Get it here, put it in the foobar2000 "components" folder.

Follow instructions above using Foobar2000. DON'T FIX THE FILE!
You'll get a multichannel WAV!

If you don't get a correct WAV and only then fix the DTS track before decoding with foobar2000.

by the way, do you speak german ;-)
I've got a guide with pictures - but it's german.

magicclue, thanks for everything! Yous solution works perfectly! Thanks man cause u had patience with me, u was only one who explained to me in many forms....
My reason for this transforming is to rip dts tracks from dts cd-s in 5.1 wavs and convert into Fraunhofer mp3surround...to make a smaller file, an 5.1 mp3. I do not have a 5.1 sound card and 5.1 speakers, so, I make these encoding tries without listen...I can't aford to by ......I just wanna learn how to make these encoding stuff.Well, mp3surround has block 192 bitrate...but I don't understant...2ch*96kbps or 6ch*32kbps. I hope that this "mp3 surround" has really 5.1 channels not just some kind of 5.1 emulation.....however 32kbps/channel I think is a little deficient, 48kbps should be the choice...48*6=288kbps.Just my opinion....Anyway I can't make a quality comparison between 5.1wav and 5.1 mp3.I don't know if earn to keep the mp3 surround. U have to know the right answer and if maybe exist another posibility to compress the 5.1 wav, please let me know...
Thanks again!

P.S. I don't speak german, I wish I could......

well, don't fall into the pit. If you directly convert the multichannel 5.1 WAV you might mix up channels and get them in the wrong order!
Therefore it's better to demux to 6 mono WAVs.

-
Perhaps you want to rely on a more tested format which supports 5.1.
Try AAC!

You can convert directly to AAC with foobar2000 as well - so no need for an intermediate WAV file.

How to transcode to AAC see http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...664#post566664

Yep, FAAC : MP4(LC),quality 100...I used. Works fine, but the resulting MP4 file is like mp3 surround, small. My song has 3min.46seconds and the MP4 file has 8 megabytes.I used the default options wich makes me 5.1 MP4 file....in Kurtnoise13 guide. I hope my file has really 6 channels. If I play the file with vlc, this one tells me that my file has 2 channels, but the same vlc say that the dts file has 2 channelsand it has 6....However, great soft this foobar2000
Thanks magicclue!
