LPCM = Linear PCM = the format that uncompressed .WAV files use. Maybe only the .WAV Headers are missing. Try to add the using Cool Edit. Just open the file in RAW mode with 48kHz, 16Bit, Stereo. Then save it as .WAV file. Maybe you even have got a .WAV file and don't know it

i've got a special release of DVD2AVI.
There is a option for LPCM Audio Data: 'Use ACM' & 'SelectConfig ACM'. So you can specify the codec you want, and it safe it. I haven't tested it because i've never seen dvd with lpcm audio. a+ ECLiPSE

Either try eclipsedvd's method or try a tool that accepts raw LPCM files as input. E.g. Cool Edit, Lame,... nearly all programs that are not totally outdated should accept raw files.
All audio streams i've seen so far on DVDs have a sample rate of 48kHz, 16bit and have either 2 channels ( for stereo ), 4 channels ( for Dolby Surround ) or 6 channels ( for Dolby Digital 5.1 ). I think your file as 2 channels. You need this information to tell the programs what it has to look for if the file is a raw PCM file. |

Is this a DVD-Video with 24 Bits/96 KHz or 6 channel 16 Bits 44.1 KHZ audio or a real DVD-Audio ?? if last applies is it 2 channel 24 Bits 192 KHZ stereo sound or 6 channel 24 Bits 96 KHz surround sound ?
Note that for DVD-Audio Meridian Lossless Packaging ( MLP ) was used on at least the 6 channel sound ( dont know about stereo ) , so you'll need a software decoder/decompressor/DirectShowFilter for MLP ... |

Okey. THis is the deal.
you have audio in a .vob file isnt a LMPC thingy. It that the file with video and audio have LPCM as audio format. Extract audio with VOBEDIT LPCM = WAVE .wav CD ripp is LPCM but you have to make it 48hz thing, resample in coledit/soundforge. also a fast way to extract the audio from a .vob file is to use DVD2AVI, just choose demux all audio and press F4 to save the project file, and a .wav file will be extracted. |

DVD2AVI (at least the versions I use) and VobEdit fail if LPCM is not 16 bits and 48 kHz
You can use PgcDemux (see my sig), except in the case of 20 bits, which is still unsupported. jsoto
