ok, some clarification :
I'm using Win8.1x64;
even when I push down UAC to the lowest, I need to start MPC-BE as Administrator in order to be able to change settings in the *.ini; obviously MPC-BE is not able to write into the ini-file, if started as standard user...

is it because I'm using MPC-BE with integrated madVR from Shark007...his codecs are also enforcing UAC...

or is this a Standard behaviour of Win8.1?

you don't need admin rights to change settings.

install an normal version to the default folder and try that again.

I wish you would've at least let me know if you couldn't comply with my request, instead of just ignoring my post.

MPC-BE don't support hls, so it can play it only with LAVSource. You can ask it's author for useragent change.

I need Admin rights to enable ini file saving.
I use latest 1.4.6.1368 from Yandex. Installer version.

the installer doesn't allow you change the folder so try this:

get a portable version or copy the mpc be folder to another folder that is not your program files folder like c:/mpc-be.

yet again you don't need the to store your settings in the ini.

mpc-be is working totally fine by not letting you select store settings in ini. because it simply doesn't have the rights to do that in the current folder.

Yeah, I don't use ini file, but it is usable for portable installation.

@devs: When there is a new stable release, please let me know, so I can check translation again some days before. Thank you

I changed this:

Youtube->Initial buffer size=1 Mb, instead of the default 5 Mb.

And now I don't get sound (most of the time), only image. If I restart the video a few times, sound magically appears.

Changed back to 5 Mb and everything is working as usual.

Bug?

Thanks

The whole "Initial buffer size" section is just removed in commit 1386, so nothing to play with since the next nightly. BTW default is 3 Mb.

Now MPC-BE can already decode external vtt subtitles. I just created a MKV file with internal VTT subtitles.
The WebVTT subtitle stream isn't recognized, as we expected. Please add support.
PM: Link to the file

Yes, with internal filters it works, but I thought this commit would also add it for external filters like LAV ...

It's work fine with LAV Source/Splitter. If not - give me a sample.

No, I have a videosample recorded with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4. This file is played right with all integrated filters, but if I use LAV Splitter + Decoder it is played upside down:

LAV Splitter detects the info fine, and MPC-HC or madVR can swap it fine as well. Don't jump to conclusions if you don't know anything to base them on.
