SubtitleCreator and Windows 7(64 bit)

Does anyone know if it works properly in W7?
I load a .sup file - they are now a colourfull mess - then import the IFO for the existing palette - it doesn't change.
Saving them just saves the mess.

Did you extract/create the .SUP file from a standard DVD or a Blu-ray (or other HD format)?

Standard DVDs.
This one is the sup file from Master and Commander.

This is from an XP session.
The palette is imported and selecting a sub shows the new colours ok.

OCR it with subrip then load the srt into subtitlecreator. Really depends on what you;re trying to accomplish. Not everything in SubtitleCreator is perfect.

Ok, I've started to have a look.
You should first open the IFO file (that is holding the color palette), then the SUP file.
Could you please try on XP and 7 and report.

With XP it makes no difference whether the palette or SUP is loaded first - the subs on the display pane will be correct, and when saved, they will be correct when played back with the video.

On Win 7 it makes no difference whether the palette or SUP is loaded first the subs are wrong on the display pane, and when saved, are still wrong when played with the video.

I tried with Win7 32 bit and it's working fine.
The problem must come for the 64 bit version.
As I can't reproduce it, it's impossible for me to fix it.

I've carefully looked at your second post. It corresponds to the sup and ifo files you PMed me. (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...94#post1452094)
The result displayed in your post is correct. I checked on my PC with XP SP3, my second PC with Win7 and also with DVDSubedit and I alway get the same result which is the same as the screen copy you've posted in your message.
So what is not working? Please let me know.

I get around the .sup problem by saving as VOB/IDX (they are still a mess), but I replace the colours in the IDX file with the values derived from an IDX file saved by VOBSub Configure.
The values are generic black/white subs

Thus:

# The palette of the generated file
palette: 0300e3, e83f07, 000000, ffffff, 12ea11, eb12eb, faff1a, 0b5c76, 7c7c7c, e0e0e0, 701f05, 077108, 01006c, cd0be9, d2aa10, 730972

Is replaced with:

# The original palette of the DVD
palette: 000000, cbcbcb, 000000, 000000, 000000, d6ec38, 000000, 000000, 000000, cbcbcb, 000000, 000000, 000000, cbcbcb, 000000, 000000

# Custom colors (transp idxs and the four colors)
custom colors: OFF, tridx: 1001, colors: 000000, 000000, cbcbcb, 000000

This software doesn't work properly in windows 7 64bit version.
I also get a crappy sup with very strange colorsettings that will not change at all.
And when i try to make a dvd, the positioning of the subtitle is at the bottom and is not readable at all..
Will try to make it on a windows xp machine and see if that makes any difference..
