Network provider -> Capture device -> Tuner -> MPEG-2 Demux -> Then the demux splits the signal into several streams: Data: -> Sections & Tables and TIF Video: -> MPEG-2 and H.264 -> Video Renderer Audio: -> MPEG-2 and AC3 -> Audio Renderer Each time you switch channels, you just connect the corresponding audio/video decoders with the corresponding renderers, instead of rebuilding the entire graph. What is not normal is the image you get. Is your selected channel using MPEG-2 or H.264 video? The internal MPC-HC H.264 filters are currently not working with life broadcasting. Could you try using different decoders (CoreAVC/Elecard/Microsoft DTV-DVD for H.264 or ffdshow for MPEG-2) and report the results? XPC |

I am seeing that mpc hc is closing to a new stable release. It's a shame that the splitters mono bug is not fixed. Heres the original post with a sample
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...57#post1377657 Maybe some dev is kind enough to look at this, maybe its an easy fix that could make it into the stable release. |

Hi Casshern,
have you created a ticket on the trac for that issue? Otherwise, like XhmikosR said a few posts above yours, your issue will get lost in this thread. If you don't have done it yet, then please do so! How to report your issue Link to open a new ticket |

@tetsuo, you should update this page: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/Vista64.html
As i believe real videos can be played with the 64bit? Maybe some of the other codecs too. You should also rename it Vista x64/Win7 x64. |

Using 1.2.2283.0 x64, I can't get closed captions in a ripped DVD-VOB to display, whether selecting them in the Navigate menu, the Filters -> File -> ... menu, or in the Play -> Subtitles menu; the selection doesn't seem to register and the Navigate menu checkbox indicates that no subs are selected. I'm using the internal MPEG-2 decoder (not DXVA), internal PS splitter, EVR-CP, and ffdshow to decode audio. Playback of this file (ripped with DVD Decrypter) and its closed captions works without issue using VLC. If anyone else cares to test this, select any of the episodes on the NTSC R1 release of "The Boondocks", Season 1, Disc 2. I can also provide a VOB sample if it would be helpful. Is this a known issue? Am I overlooking something?

You were right, MPC-hc filter doesn't work, Coreavc, divx and ffdshow do. How didn't I think of this myself |

@ Inspector.Gadget
Your MPC-HC version seems outdated. Please download and install the latest stable release 1.4.2499.0 (released on 7th September 2010) of MPC-HC. If your issue is still existing then, please open a ticket on the trac. You can download the latest stable release of MPC-HC from the link below and I would recommend you to go with the installer: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mpc-hc/files/ @BelowSky Please open a ticket on the trac for your issue, if you haven't done so yet! Otherwise your issue will get lost in this thread and no developer of MPC-HC will have a look at it. Furthermore the MPC-HC Team can contact you then via the support ticket for further information if necessary. You will find all important links for reporting an issue on the trac below: How to report your issue Open a new ticket |

A little OT but does anyone know how to get MPC-HC to start high from a Win7 shortcut? I know there is an above normal option in the player options itself but I wanted to start high rather than above normal. I tried the following in a shortcut but all it does is launch a command prompt and drop into the MPC-HC folder (mpc-hc.exe does not launch).
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start /high "C:\Program Files (x86)\Media Player Classic - Home Cinema\mpc-hc.exe" I also tried... c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe start /D "C:\Program Files (x86)\Media Player Classic - Home Cinema" /high mpc-hc.exe Same result. It drops to a command prompt but the app does not launch. I do not wish to type it in manually all the time or open Task Manager and do it. BTW Prio (an addon that supposedly adds a save priority option to Task Manager's right click on processes) does not work in Win7 64 for some reason otherwise I would had used that instead. Again a bit off topic but maybe the key lies in the way mpc-hc launches so possibly there is some relevance to this thread? |
