The 'opt out' for those is under the shortcuts and icons section. That's all they are, web link shortcuts - delete them and they're gone forever.
I'm in the process of building a new setup exe where they're deselected by default. They (especially the driver scanner one) were put there with the intention of them being useful... awesome backfire! Live and learn I guess!

I personally im not against those links as long as we have an option to deselect them, dvddecrypter and imgburn are known to be simple, lightweight without "crapware" and "links", i know you need to make some kind of return on the time you spend developing/hosting Imgburn but it seems the trend nowadays is "simple, fast, portable, no crapware" programs".
Anyway...thanks for the new version. |

The updated version is now live on Mirror 8, hopefully the others will update their local downloads when the people that run the sites wake up and read their emails.
So in theory, everything is back to normal - bar the single checkbox that determines if the Ask toolbar is installed. Hopefully people can cope with that.... if they can't, erm well, they need to lighten up a little.

Is there any way to select more than one DIRECTORY when burning a Data-CD/DVD? Multiple files are possible (holding shift- or STRG-KEY while selecting). If not please put this on the list for the next IMGBurn-Version.
Thank You for this great piece of software, olnima |

When in Build mode, switch the 'Input' menu at the top to 'Advanced' - that's way more flexible and you can D+D from the top Explorer style pane.
The 'Browse for folder' dialog box is a Microsoft default one, it doesn't allow for multiple folder selections. You can also D+D from Explorer itself or even use Copy + Paste from Explorer.

It would be nice if key navigation could be implemented for the "Explorer style" pane. And I mean [A-Z] keys here. Cursor keys already work

Yes, that would be nice... but it's not my component (MustangPeak created it) and I don't really fancy messing with it!

Just saying Thank You!
Some feedback: everything I have tried with this and the last few versions has worked flawlessly, I like this so much better than when I used to have 'Nero' installed (which came bundled with the writers I bought) and it doesn't rape my system like that did. I don't mind the optional 'adware' as I know you might want something back for all your time and work - perfectly reasonably.

I have been using ImgBurn for many years, and I think it is the best burning software available!
That said, the latest version, v2.5.1.0 is not working properly for my Sony DVD+RW media ( Disc ID: Sony-S11-00 ). I use BD-RB to create movie only and full backups to BD5 and BD9 media, but I like to test to DVD+RW media first. With the latest version, the discs burn fine, but will not play back on my Sony S360 standalone, with the player's display saying "Invalid Disc". The previous versions always worked fine. I also use Verbatim DVD+RW media, (Disc ID: MKM-A02-00) but these work fine, both for burning and playback. So for a test, I uninstall this latest version and install v2.5.0.0, and, after erasing the disc, burn one of these same Sony DVD+RW discs that would not play back properly, and now it plays back perfectly as before the update to the latest release! Was there something in the latest release that could cause this? I do not have any of these play back problems with any other media I use, which is Verbatim DVD-R, DVD+R DL and some TDK+R DL media. I only have used Sony and Verbatim for DVD+RW media though, and only the Sony DVD+RW media will not play back on my standalone. |

A little wish for the next version:
I often have to burn different media (CD / DVD). That requires to change the preferred burning speed just as often. It would be great to have the "Burning speed" group extended from "Data / Audio" to "Data CD / Audio CD / DVD / BD". (Possibly even more flexible, e.g. Data/Video DVD ?!) __ A big wish for any future version: A simple cover designer for printing? - The only reason to install Nero 6.6 still in parallel: To get the Nero Cover Designer. |

The 'AWS' (Automatic Write Speed) feature already allows you to specify the write speed on a per Disc ID/MID/dye basis... so that covers different speeds for CD, DVD, BD etc.
The Data and Audio bits are for track types, not the type of data you're burning....and you can only select different speeds for those on the 'Read' operation screens, not the 'Write' ones. I've no interest in doing a cover designer, sorry.
