Tested the trial version. It is in fact a (bugged, but it's in beta stage) GUI built on top of a (modified) libx264 (114). There are no userdata on the encode (encoding parameters nor x264 revision used) so I cannot see which parameters was set for e.g. psy-rd, aq, aq-strength and so on. Basic parameters can be changed by the user, some others are grayed out and others are not available at all compared to the CLI (mbtree, trellis, me, psy-rd, aq etc) probably because they're too much specific.
It is a good starting point actually for a good GUI. Segment encoding and/or the possibility to change something after the first encode (zones for example) is actually not supported (don't know if it will support it in later releases)
