I purchased a Sony DRU5000 recently and since I am fairly new to the DVD side of things I have been testing backing up by writing to the Sony DVD+RW that came with the machine. I have tested my backup on my Sony stand alones (both) and my Apex. All seem to work with no hitch. I would like to reduce the cost of the disc but not at the loss of being able to play on all my recorders. Is there a generally accepted format + or - and moderately price disc that seems to work on all records?
