I don't understand all the issue(s) with libavcodec, but it seems from a casual look at the ffdshow changelogs that a lot of changes have been made since the date of the file you made for DGAVCDec. Might it be possible there's a better/newer version to use with DGAVCDec?
Feel free to shoot me if I'm completely off-base somehow.
