I just recorded the video I posted in the link above so I can compare the recorded with the original one.
It is currently encoding the video with H.264, 16fps, 30 Kbyte/s*, multipass
* QuickTime indicates that the original video has a bitrate of about 240 Kbit/s
The finished video is about 16.8 MB (235 kbit/s; no audio), while the original file was 16.5 MB (232 kbit/s WITH the audio track (AAC)).
In my video the frame rate never drops. The original file's frame rate often drops to 1 or even 0.14 fps
In my "Compression Settings" I can select
- Key frame every X frames
- Frame reordering
What is a good setting to use for recording applications?
