I tried doing it with GraphEdit some time ago (when I found the problem with oggmux that was the first thing to try :P ), and it gave me the same result.
There's no 'pin'. We said that the subtitle doesn't appear in GraphEdit, as if it wasn't in the file.
Activating all streams in graphedit has no effect, at least for me.

I was pointed to this solution in another thread. It had no effect, vobsub seems to not cause any problem for me, and uninstalling it didn't make a difference.
