Thanks for the reply. I thought it should be able to be used as a container but even with AVI-Mux GUI 1.16.7 I'm not having any luck saving subtitles with AVI. After going back to the User manual again I see, "If an external subtitle has been selected, the DivX embedded subtitle will be deactivated."
Does Embedded mean "burned in" or wrapped in a container? I'll admit I'm a little confused by the wording. Checking different sites it sounds like "encoded into the video" but then there's "deactivated". So what should I use to make subtitles "embedded" & not "encoded into the video"?
