I noticed the kbps size and framing differences too. But as I don't have a copy of the DVD specification I was unable to determine whether a difference of 1kbps or 1byte frame would be an issue

Anyway, I've sent mpucoder a PM, so maybe he can 'chip in' with his thoughts.

Thankfully both elementary streams seem to play okay in software and hardware media players, which is encouraging.

When it comes to working with non HD DTS streams, apart from DTSParser and DCAenc, are there any other recommended DTS applications?
