I think its HIGHLY likely that your problem is an interaction of different things on your system - have you tried the same build and videos on another PC to verify this problem?

If I offended anyone when I said that unlocked back-buffer causes eyestrain, I do apologize.
I've had this same issue on my system right before I wiped the hard drive and reinstalled windows xp, so I believe it's something that isn't going to go away in my case.
