NOoooo way!! 
The use of cellphones and English removed from Schools to cut costs has helped us look even more illiterate than 50 years ago and lacking punctuation doesn't help. Lower case "i"'s I also cringe about. I have auto-replace disabled with my phone, but I don't use it for fora. Phones are too small for these kind of communication (personal preference), and I really prefer the feel of a real keyboard vs virtual.
