yes...I think there is a bug or feature in the PH A-200 that does not support HD subtitles.
I probably need to create an option where lower res subs can be made an option. Problem is they may not look too good when played on a PC at high res. If you manually create the the idx file with bdsup2sub do you know what setting you use with for the PH A-200 to get them to play correctly?
I also know the subtitles in Avatar use a very odd font, I'm not sure if it could be related. I played with MPC-HC, see screen capture below.
