@tritical: very good work; took a while for me to find this thread. After desperately trying to cnr2 my VHS-Caps I got a hint (link to this thread) on the german Forum which saved my day!
Do you (or does anyone) have connections to the people managing
http://www.avisynth.org/warpenterprises/ ? I think the faulty 2.5-version of
cnr2 should be replaced by your 2.61 as soon as possible because (in my opinion) it doesn't make sense to offer the 2.5-Version for download any longer.
