The first two items listed in my first response to yuor thread were, in effect questions, so I'll ask them again:
A) Are the files are from a video recorder? If so, then those files are already in DVD format - and you should be able to simply duplicate the disc(s)
B) Does your standalone DVD player have .AVI playback capability? if so, simply burn your .AVIs as data DVDs.
I also provided you with a detailed alternative to NEROVision - and I'm wondering if you've yet tried it. It only looks complicated ;>}
BTW, in addition to the programs I've mentioned, as stated by "rOlZ", there are other freeware alternatives. NEROVision is, as you know, one of many programs in the NERO suite - and it certainly doesn't "crash every time"...
