VirtualDub Mod with the newest GKnot and newest Codec Pack should work fine (keyword: should
). Anyway, perhaps something is messed up in your codec installation. Try to deinstall all (old) codecs and reinstall the GKnot Codec Pack. And make sure that the paths in 'Program Paths' are set correctly.
