Reverting to an older version, 1.9.9, appears to cure this symptom, both in "as primary video" and in "720x576" modi.
I am not expecting that the developers will somehow remember this software (tomorrow it be be 5 years since its last update
), but at least I hope for an explanation or a good manufacturing practice.
