Q: I've heard about DivX 4.5 / DivX 5.0. When will they be released?

A: When it's done. There's no ETA.

The ETA for DivX 5.0 is very soon, actually. Atleast that's what they say on their website, www.divx.com . They are auctioning off a PC with the golden copy of the disc with DivX 5.0 as a fundraiser, and the auction ends in 3 days, as you probably know. Once the auction is approved and goes through, DivX will be released to the public. So one can expect DivX 5.0 in about 4 days to around 1 1/2 weeks.
