There's a simple reason it doesn't do hybrid things the way you want. It's OBSOLETE. For the
past 10+ years I've tried to get everyone to embrace VFR. It's really the right thing to do even if it requires a little bit of extra work.
But since you pointed it out I'll make vdecimate export more information so you could create something similar with a script, if that's what you want.
