Are there MKV muxing options that can boost colour saturation ?
I know from DivX encoding that colours are the first to go when compression is increased but they have a lovelly player that can beautifully increase 'saturation' during playback.
While encoding Band of Brothers in H264 I was so stunned with the huge decrease in filesize and even the crispy clarity that I neglected to compare to the original. Even encoding with Q22 instead of Q24 increases the colour quality substantially.
The series was totally digitally mastered and enhanced to the point that 'nothing' is natural... all the colouration has been modified.
So I did a
Q18 Encode 
... comparing it to the
Original 
... and the difference is quite startling...
Perhaps there's a filter I could use that pays particular attention to colour correction ?
