I am a new owner of a PSP, with firmware version 2.00. In the feature list for the release, it was mentioned that the PSP can now play MPEG-4 videos, using AVC and AAC. Can someone recommend to me a good toolchain for Linux to convert videos to MP4 so as to view them on my PSP? Thanks!

mpeg4iptools is the first linux toolkit that comes to mind, unless there's something new out. mencoder for encoding, of course.

You'll need to configure your video resolution and x264 options to be compatible with whatever the PSP supports. If you run into problems, post them here.
