Since several days ago, I've been having problems with doom9.org and forum.doom9.org. Both sites take about 5 minutes to load on both my home DSL and remote 5mbit cable internet. Quite often the loading simply stalls.
It is likely there is a misprogrammed router along the way, and that it affects all of BC (I live on Vancouver Island). This problem just cropped up several days ago, so you should talk to your ISP and get them to do a diagnostic from here.
Pings are mostly failing to deliver any response. Tracert pauses for a long time on some of the last hops, from both my cable connection (local IP 24.108.193.149):

The problem, of course, is the routers at ovh.net, which is also your ISP. The're having sever problems with connections from western Canada, as evidenced by the consistently long delays on those hops, and the continual timeouts in my browsers.
