I recently put dvd shrink on somebody elses computer but it runs real slow.
2 hours to shrink and 1 hour 20 minutes to burn. Tried same disk on mine and it took 1 hour 12 minutes total.
Other computer is 2.8 gig with 256 of RAM.
Is there a way to speed it up?

1) Time to compress ("shrink") - Don't turn on "AEC"

2) Time to burn - Sounds like the "other computer" is using a demo version of NERO that's been used for more than 30 days and is, therefore, limited/"crippled" to burning at 1X

Is there a way to speed it up?Tell them to install more RAM, I'm guessing your machine has 512, that would explain the time difference.

Check to see if the "somebody else" you were referring to might have one or more of his DVD Drives running in PIO mode, instead of the (much faster) DMA Mode.
