I am not sure how to fix this? I've copied my family betamax tape onto a mini digital Canon camcorder; edited, added titles and some transitions; saved as dv-avi; encoded with procoder to a compliant DVD-Mpeg2 file; authored with DVDLab and burnt to disc. The end result is that the whites and light areas (such as the sky) "pulsate" almost as if they're glowing. I've tried several attempts when encoding: First: used filters at the "source" level such as 601 expand color space, median & color correction. I've used these filters at the target selection and also included black/white correction; thirdly at the target just used color correction. In all of these tries..the result looked far better than the original when I viewed before encoding; however the end result ...all ended up the same with the white areas pulsating or glowing. When I add no filters, the end result has no pulsating white or light areas but the color is drab and dull. What am I doing wrong?
