I have a pretty basic question. I want reauthor a DVD, using on of the original subtitles, the video, and one of the original audiotracks. To these things I want to add my own basic menus. I have used DVD-decrypter to demux the streams, which results in a SUP dubtitle file. But I wonder, which program/programs allow me to use these streams to author a DVD, where I also can add my own menus, without using subrip or any other tool to convert the subtitles from graphic based to text based?

There really are a bunch of ways to do this -- think it would be worth it to both browse & search the forums for threads & guides so you could pick the one that might work best for you.
I think the basic options are to create the DVD layout and add the subs, or do it all at once. Perhaps the easiest way to do one compile would be using DVDLab Pro, which isn't free.
You could use DVD author & GUI, or Muxman -- you could use any authoring app & then add subs later, or create a simple layout, adding subs and/or menu later.
