A DVD from 2002 certainly has no "ARccOS" copy protection. Try cleaning the disc...

It looks like there were 4 small problem areas. Does the rip play well from your hard drive and/or burned copy?

As it is neither region nor copyright protected, try most any other method of ripping to your HD. DVDFabD, Nero Recode uncompressed, Shrink uncompressed etc...

Hmmm! It seems, if I remember correctly, that someone once mentioned DVDFab Decrypter was able to read a dinged up disk that DVDD would not.

I wouldn't swear to it, but give it a go.

@setarip_old

The disc is in perfect condition not a scratch or smudge, as for the play back will test tonight. Or not. We’ll see.

I have tried dfab and it did the job with out a problem, but when Nero tried to burn it I was told that there was a protection on the file and it stopped. I have copied directly to hard drive but not burned it yet.

Will keep you all updated, but from where I am this is a big holiday weekend and there are many party’s planed. So it might take a couple of days or not, I’m already in the bag!

Cheers to all its labour day.
