I've encoded a bunch of TV episodes and I used most of the default settings in AGK. While overall, I'm very happy with the results, I am curious about one thing.

I expected all of the files to come out with a resolution of 512x384 and a Qf somewhere between .200 & .250. However, I'm surprised how many of the files came out with higher resolutions (640x480 in one case) and low Qf (some as low as 0.130).

Should I go back and reencode these files and force the resolution to 512?

Thanks in advance?

no.
QF is not UNIVERSAL. autogk chooses resolution and stuff by doing a compressibility test that's FAR MORE ACCURATE than QF.
