View Full Version : A/V sync problems again

Hi folks,

sorry for bringing this up again, but I am kind of desperate here. I used AGK for some time, and then I had to re-install my computer and AGK has been playing tricks on me since.

I (would like to) use AGK to archive stuff I record from TV; usually, I de-mux and cut the mpg file using ProjectX (to get rid of all the flaws in the video file), mux it and put it straight into AGK. The input file is perfectly in sync.

The resulting avi file from AGK is not in sync, it starts off pretty good and gets increasingly worse the longer the movie is. If I use Nero Recode, the file is in sync. Same for VirtualDub, if I do everything manually.

I tried several versions of AGK, including the latest stable version and the latest Beta (2.16), the result is always the same. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

Best,

Neo

Did you search for other posts on this subject? I found a lot of helpful things here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=94164&highlight=audio+sync+autogk).

Thanks for your message. Yes, I had a good look before I posted the message. I have tried quite a few things, none of them very successfully though. As far as I can see, the audio and video file have the same length, even though my method of checking that was probably not the best. Of the demuxed files, the mp2 and the video file seem to have the same length in (VirtualDub and WMP).

I use ProjectX which should (at least in principle) correct all flaws in the video and audio stream, to ensure that both have the same length. If there is a problem with the input file, why does VirtualDub produce a perfect output? That's what I do not understand here.

I haven't tried to convert a DVD - that is something I should probably do.

Does ProjectX work with HD transport streams?
