Hello, I'm new here. So I hope this is posted in the correct place.

Where can I find the RV40 codec (possibly also named RealVideo9 codec)? My RealPlayer can't play a specific video without it and is not able to download the codec. I receive the message "there is no software update available to support this content". I'm using an older version of RealPlayer but at this point in time, I really don't want to upgrade. It would be nice if I could just install the necessary codec.

Can anyone help me? I've asked in several other forums and spent hours searching Google with very little luck. I found something that appears to be the correct codec but I'm not sure that it really is.

No, you should not. Thread locked. The only legal method of obtaining the latest RealVideo 9/10 decoder is via RealPlayer. Please read this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=68399) if you have any concerns about installing this.
