About MPEG-4 visual codecs?(help)

Hi,everybody
Recently we intend to do some work on MPEG-4 Part2 Visual,and find xvid is th most famous one,does there any other related codec that based on MPEG-4 visual we?Especially the open source ones,and where can be got?please give some advices
