Well, I think I have found a solution to my previous problem on my own, but I don't know how to implement it. I saw there is an option checked in ffdshow to allow output to a file; but, although I have Graphedit I don't know how to use it well enough to properly capture the ffdshow output. Can anyone tell me how to do this. Thank you. Recording into WAV or some other lossless format is ideal, or to not re-encode and output it as the original AC3.

For ac3 output:
... ffdshow -> File Writer
For wav output:
... ffdshow -> Wav Dest -> File Writer

Unfortunately I can't find the Wav Dest filter. Can someone tell me where it is? Thank you.

It's one of those filters often installed by software, but not a component of windows or DX. Search online and you'll find it. Probably available in Doom9 downloads as part of one or more of the pkgs.
