wired XVID video playback problem

hello,

i've been encoding some dvds with gordianknot. recently i encoded a dvd movie to xvid. after converting, the video dosent play and crashes mediaplayer or any player for that matter but my old xvid movies which i encoded, plays well even though i used the same xvid codec but different settings. what could be the problem in this case, is it the codec? or the settings in gordionknot? any idea what it could be? :( :( :( :(

any help would be great!!
