View Full Version : Disjointed MPG using TMPGEnc Xpress with .mov files AND Nero 6

Following a clean reinstall of XP, I've hit problems when using TMPGEnc Xpress (3.1.5.82) to encode Quicktime .MOV files into DVD compatible MPGs.

Although the encoding completes, the resulting audio and video streams are broken, and disjointed.

Although Quicktime is installed and associated with .MOV files, GSpot shows them as being rendered by the Nero Quicktime Video & Audio Decoders.

BUT, GSpot also shows the following error - which may be relevant:

- - ** Problem ** ** File Missing:
DSH 4CC YV12
DSH DirectShow CLSID {426F6A6F-FEF8-4A5B-8DDC-099E7499EF50}
DSH Friendly Name Nero Digital AVC Video Enc
- - Function Splitter
REG Merit 0x00200000
- - Type DSH

I've tried removing, cleaning and re-installing Nero - but I can't seem to fix this one - and I can't find a solution to it elsewhere.

What I HAVE discovered is that if I disable the TMPGENC VFAPI File Reader, normallity is restored and MOV conversion to MPG will work OK.

But this seems like the wrong solution - could Nero's Quicktime reader or the "Missing file" be the cause of the problem ?

(Or am I barking up the wrong tree entirely ?)
