View Full Version : Opera 8: Login problems via cookies with proxies

Dear community,

I'm asking for another member who's english is even a little worse than mine... -- katjarella likes to use many different and changing proxies for better security and anonymization. With other browsers (like Firefox or Opera 7), this does not cause many problems. But Opera 8 does not store some user specific important cookies, and therefore the IP adresses or PHP session IDs get used - but the IP constantly changes (due to a multi-proxy system), and PHP session IDs are not used because it seems to the board software that the login worked well. So, katjarella would have to log in again and again - but only woth Opera 8.

Is there anyone else who made similar experiences, and found a way to solve zhis problem (preferably without forcing to use PHP session IDs to log in, but instead enabling the storage of the lost cookies - bbpassword & bbuserid)?

More details in german, but the interresting details shall be easy to find, and if you need more information, don't hesitate to order them.

Problem solved.
Of course, one must leave "Remember me" checked on Login.
Because then it saves the important cookies bbuserid & bbpassword.
So: My Mistake.
