CCE 2.5 chechsum patch

I continue to get random checksum errors with CCE 2.5 and RB pro. I have read where there is a patch that either causes CCE to ignore the errors or prevent them from happening. But when mentioning this patch, usually it is stated to google for it. Is this it?

If so, how do I install it? There are several files in the zip, but no instructions.

The problem is that the patch that fixes the checksum error can also be used to hack the v2.50 Trial Version. So, understandably, everybody avoids the subject. I wish they'd have just released the checksum patch by itself.

The CRC Patch for CCE 2.50 was initially released as a separate file, its about 18kb long. It is NOT a crack for CCE, just the CRC Patch only. I can post it here (I assume) if you like.

Thanks, I tried the file I mentioned, assuming it was just a CRC patch and it appears to have worked. I would prefer to use a non-hack file, so if it is allowed, could you post it here?
