Since I don't have much disk space on the computer that my Skystar2 is installed, I would like to connected this computer to another computer (with enough space) through a network...and record directly to this other computer.
I tried to select as my recording folder, a shared folder on this network, but it didnt worked.
Anyone please know how I could do something like that ?
Thanks.

I don't think the LAN connection will be fast enough to support this. Besides, the CPU utilization of recording and pushing the data through the LAN to the other machine will be too much. Save yourself the headache - 1) get an additional hard drive or 2) Move your TV card to the machine with the larger drive.
Have you done a complete cleaning of old files off of your system ?
Try this app - it will list your folder sizes http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/folrep.zip

With SS2 card there is no problem to use LAN/internal homenet to distribute up to 5 different TV channels let say
1- to grandPa bedroom
2- to grandMa bedroom
an so on up to 5

In your case setup local network, use share folder.

Using share folder is not working...
I tried with a new Windows XP installation, using Windows 2000 etc...
When I select to record, the file dont appear in the other computer. But the network is working, since I can copy and delete files through this computer, and share the internet.

As you can see from picture 1st tv channel is broadcasted to net and this signal can be recorded on the 2nd computer.
Rest of 4 are recorded in 1 computer and can be accesed by 2nd through shared folder.
