Question about the ASUS v7100 combo deluxe

Is it possibel to capture whit other program and how can I capture whit a other codec (the function for capturing whit other codec doesn't work or I don't understand how to work with it can someone tell me how it works?

Yes.. you can capture with just about any other program you like... and many other capture codecs. Are you having problems doing so?

I can't select a other codec and even when I try this he will always use the one from asus.

but have never try this in a other program only (asusvcr)

Are you using WIndows 2000?.. or 98?..

I have read that the codec not good works whit win 98/ME.

if you set your capture codec to YUYV then you can select a codec.. but what I would really recommend is uninstalling Asus LIVE, and download and install ASUS DIGITAL VCR 2.0 since it also installs a WDM driver for the card.. and just use VirtualDub.. should work fine..
