I'd like your opinion about video encoding methods. What do you think is the best way to encode video?
- ffdshow and VirtualDub
- ffdshow and GraphEdit
- mencoder
- other methods?
Does it matter anyway? Or does it depend on the used codec or video?
Thx

Please follow forum rules, specifically, rule 12: do not ask what's best.

Sorry, didn't mean to violate the rules.
There are so many ways to encode, I just wondered if I was using the right one?
Won't do it again :(

The appropriate posting approach is to state your goals and the method you are using and then to ask for a critique of your solution.
Your reference to "the right way" implies again that there is only one correct way. But the whole point of the rule is that there is no one right way for things, because people's goals differ and subjective matters are involved.
Thank you for your understanding. If you post again with the above-described approach, I and others will be happy to try to assist you.
