.mpg to .mov

does anyone know how to convert .avi to .mov. I dont really care if i lose the sound. Any help would be much appreciated

from what i have found (using the forum advanced search and google), only quicktime pro can convert .avi to .mov.
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/pro/

seems most people are trying to convert the other way (ie .mov to .avi) ...
