I have been using ifo edit to set video flags in a video_ts folder, i have been told that i should run get vts sectors after editing the ifo files.

What is this, what does it do, how do i go about doing it, is it important?

Whenever i have used ifo edit and then created an iso for burning there is a slight jump where the vobs take over one from the other. Is it because i didn't run get vts sectors before creating my iso?

Also, if i joined the vobs into one file and created an iso, might this not get rid of the jump/pause where the vobs are joined on the disc. I am creating an iso because i like dvddecrypter's burn engine.

Peace.

Correcting start sector addresses is only need for standalone DVD-Players.
A standalone (settop) DVD player access the files on the DVD over UDF-sectors, while a PC accesses the files over the ISO filesystem, and so the PC doesn't care about start sectors.

So you need to correct this sectors just if you want to burn a DVD-R, and in that case right before burning the DVD-R.

So i can edit my movie with ifoedit, save the changes to .ifo,.bup files and then hit get vts sectors. Is this all i have to do before burning?

yes.

you may also want to look at pgc_edit which will also ensure that there is a 32Kb gap between IFO/BUP (if option selected), & can also create an ISO using mkisofs.

Could you tell me a little more about the above and why the 32kb gap, i'm still a noob.

Thanks or the link.

So not having the spaces beetween the ifo's and bup's may be causing the pause/skip in the movie, 2cool?
